This project is aimed at enhancing preventive measures to combat the spread of diseases related to poor hygiene and sanitation in Kumba.
In a bit to respond to the recent cholera outbreak in the Southwest Region, team mi niña visited GBHS Kosala, Kumba for a health sensitization campaign on the fight against Cholera and other diseases related to poor hygiene and sanitation.



mi niña’s health personnel team made a presentation on; Cholera outbreak, mode of transmission, clinical diagnosis, prevention, sanitation and environment protection. The presentation was very interactive and the students fully participated during the question and answer sessions.
mi niña distributed; Posters, Stickers, Soaps, Hand sanitizers, face marks, toilet brushes, detergents and disinfectants to a total of 675 beneficiaries including both students and teachers.
The teachers and students much appreciated this program which has led to increased knowledge base related to proper hygiene and sanitation, reduced risk of cholera spread and other diseases related to poor hygiene and sanitation
